The AC30 is one of the historic amplifiers that a guitarist can include in their gear. Its warm tone on clean settings and creamy sound on overdriven tones have made it a benchmark over the decades.
The AC30S1 features a single 12" Celestion Greenback speaker, in contrast to its bigger brother, the AC30C2, which has two. It has 2 ECC83 tubes in the preamp and 4 EL84 tubes in the power section. This is a single-channel amplifier, equipped solely with the Top Boost channel, which has made the Vox sound famous worldwide.
It is a reimagined and modern version of the original AC30, boasting interesting and useful technical features. For instance, it includes a Send and Return, which is very handy for using effects, as well as a high-quality digital reverb. Additionally, it is significantly lighter than its larger sibling, the AC30C2.
This amplifier is well-suited for guitarists performing in small to medium live settings, easy to transport, and perfectly complements effects.
