Based on the LL16, the new LL16D distinguishes itself from the more economical version with its intricate abalone inlays on the body, headstock, and rosette. It closely resembles the prestigious L36 and offers an extraordinary tone thanks to its top-quality solid woods (solid Engelmann spruce top A.R.E.).
The A.R.E. technology has been developed by Yamaha and allows, through the control of humidity, pressure, and temperature, to modify the molecular properties of the wood, giving the tops the same characteristics as those of a soundboard that has been played for years, significantly enhancing its sound.
