Based on the LL16, the new LL16D distinguishes itself from the more affordable version with its intricate abalone inlays on the body, headstock, and soundhole. It closely resembles the prestigious L36 and offers an extraordinary tone thanks to its premium solid woods (solid Engelmann spruce top with A.R.E. treatment).
The A.R.E. technology, developed by Yamaha, allows for the modification of the molecular properties of the wood through the control of humidity, pressure, and temperature. This process gives the tops the same characteristics as those of a top that has been played for many years, significantly enhancing its sound quality.
