Description:

The EMG-89 is a versatile pickup characterized by its duality of single-coil and humbucker configurations. It features an Alnico V magnet and a separate preamp capable of generating different outputs for single-coil and dual-coil modes. In dual-coil mode, the sound is warm, rich, and powerful, yet still defined and similar to the EMG-85. In single-coil mode, which can be activated via the included push/pull potentiometer, the generated sound is clear and crystalline, akin to the EMG-SA.

Suitable for both bridge and neck positions, it is an ideal pickup for jazz guitarists as well as hard rock guitarists.

The package includes: an EMG Quik-Connect™ connection cable, a set of pre-wired push/pull tone/volume potentiometers, an output jack, a battery clip, screws & springs.
