Few guitars are as famous as the one used by Eddie Van Halen, known in history as "Frankenstein." This instrument was the first attempt to combine the technical features of a modern guitar with a Floyd Rose tremolo system with the traditional characteristics of a Fender Stratocaster.

The EVH Frankenstein Relic Series represents the "subdued" version of Van Halen's legendary "Striped" guitar, also known as "Frankie."

It features a basswood body, a maple neck with an oiled finish on the back that allows for hours of comfortable playing, a maple fingerboard with a compound radius of 12"-16", and 22 Jumbo frets.

"Frankie" is equipped with an EVH Wolfgang® humbucking pickup at the bridge, a faux Strat® pickup at the neck, and a faux five-way selector switch positioned in the center.
