The Stratocaster model, which achieved great success in the second half of the '50s, was essentially revolutionized in the early '60s. It saw the addition of a rosewood fingerboard, a slimmer neck profile, and a set of pickups with a brighter tone.
The Fender American Vintage II 1965 Stratocaster recreates the original instrument produced in the mid-'60s and features an alder body, a maple neck with a fast 1965 "C" profile, a 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard, a Vintage Synchronized Tremolo bridge with steel block and saddles, and a set of Pure Vintage '65 Gray-Bottom Single-Coil Strat® pickups.
An instrument that, as soon as you pick it up, delivers an authentic feel and, when plugged in, excites with its vintage-inspired tone.
The American Vintage II Series revives some of Fender’s most iconic instruments, faithfully reproducing their design, aesthetics, and sound with remarkable precision. Compared to the American Original Series, this new and refined lineup offers an even greater level of historical accuracy, making it the closest Fender has ever come to Custom Shop quality within its USA production line.
