Description:
The Gibson Les Paul Junior Double Cut is directly derived from the legendary Les Paul Junior of 1954, which was originally designed as an accessible "student" model but built with the same care and quality as Gibson's professional models. Intended to offer simplicity, reliability, and powerful sound, the Junior quickly became an icon of rock music due to its straightforward character and the distinctive voice of the P-90 pickup.
In 1958, the "Double Cut" version debuted, characterized by a mahogany body with double cutaways for easier access to the higher frets and a more modern appearance. While maintaining the essential qualities that contributed to its success, the Les Paul Junior Double Cut offered surprising tonal versatility and superior playability.
The body is constructed entirely of mahogany, paired with a mahogany neck featuring a SlimTaper profile for a fast and comfortable feel.
The fingerboard, made of rosewood, is equipped with 22 Medium Jumbo frets and a 12" radius, providing a natural feel during performances, ideal even for extended playing sessions.
The electronics, true to tradition, consist of a single Gibson Dogear P-90 pickup at the bridge, capable of delivering a dynamic and responsive sound that ranges from warm, defined clean tones to aggressive, character-rich distortion.
The wraparound bridge and Gibson Vintage Deluxe tuners complete the specifications, ensuring tuning stability and exceptional sustain.
