EMG-85 - BK

Despite the EMG-85 having slightly lower output power than the EMG-81, its frequency response and interaction with the string are different. The 85 features two coils with AlNiCo magnets, allowing for rich lows and consistent highs. With a more natural tone, this pickup is ideal for rhythm and blues as it provides substantial output while remaining well-defined. It is the perfect choice as a neck pickup in combination with an EMG 81 at the bridge, which is the same configuration used by Zakk Wylde.
